The Association for the Healthcare Environment Announces Elected and Appointed 2018 Board Members

Chicago, October 27, 2017 – The Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE) has announced Pam Toppel, CHESP, T-CHEST as AHE board president and Brad Winnie as president-elect. Toppel is the Manager, Environmental Services – Eastern Region at OSF HealthCare Saint James – John W Albrecht Medical Center and OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center. Winnie is the Environmental Services Manager at Aurora Sinai Medical Center.

Elected to At Large seats for the 2018-2019 term are:

Nazar Masry, CHESP

Director of Healthcare Operations for Job Options, Inc. a non-profit organization based out of San Diego that provides a variety of services to government installations such as Environmental Services, laundry, landscaping, janitorial, and food service. What is significant about Job Options is the fact that we employ people with significant disabilities, and more than 75% of the staff who provide the work has a disability. I have the privilege of working with those special individuals (approx. 350 employees) and providing environmental services to four contracted medical facilities (Army, Navy and VA) covering more than 3 million square feet of space in CA, GA, and AZ.

Rock Jensen, CHESP

Rock Jensen has been involved in healthcare environmental services, patient transport, laundry, food, grounds, communication, safety, security, facilities and management of the Environment of Care for 20+ years. He has worked with both in-house operations as well as outsourced management organizations. For the last 5+ years he has worked as an SME/Senior Consultant with Soriant Healthcare Services with core responsibilities of EVS, Laundry, Patient Transport, Food, Facilities, Grounds and Security. 

Linda Homan, BSN, CIC

Ms. Homan is the Senior Manager, Clinical and Professional Services for ECOLAB Healthcare Division. In that role, Linda focuses on the development of clinical and educational solutions, applied clinical research and incorporation of clinical best practices in all healthcare offerings. She is a member of, and serves as the Ecolab liaison to APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology), SHEA (Society for Healthcare Epidemiologists of America), AORN (Association for PeriOperative Registered Nurses) and AHE (Association for the Healthcare Environment).
