Tag, You're Clean: Improving Disinfectant Recall for Equipment

In this session, participants will learn how to tag equipment with visual cues indicating the appropriate disinfectant per the manufacturer’s instructions for use (IFU) and will be able to describe how Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles, multidisciplinary collaboration, and just-in-time education can be used to implement and evaluate a disinfection tagging intervention on clinical units at their facility. The presenter will demonstrate how enhanced recall supports safer, more compliant equipment disinfection and patient safety.
