CHEST Summer Workshop

Using the train-the-trainer model, the Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) designation sets national standards specifically for environmental services technicians working in health care. The CHEST curriculum is based on seven content domains that were identified as part of a robust and comprehensive national job and task analysis of health care environmental services frontline staff. A substantial amount of content will be covered; we expect that each day of the workshop will take the full 8 hours.

Note: You will not take a certification test — CHEST certification and the exam are for frontline technicians only.

Attendance Policy: Because you are being designated as a trainer of the CHEST program, it is important that you attend all 24 hours of training.

Meals Served: Lunch will be served.

Attire: Business Casual. We recommend wearing layers due to training rooms often being cool.
