COVID-19, a respiratory illness, reached pandemic levels in just a matter of months. In this article, Doe Kley, RN, MPH, T-CHEST, CIC, presents infection control basics for environmental services workers during this unprecedented time.  The article outlines basic infection control measures including hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, isolation precautions, and cleaning and disinfection practices, as well as information in regards to prioritizing use of PPE in the event of a shortage.
