CHICAGO, February 19, 2020 – Two leading health care associations are bringing their annual conferences to Chicago in 2020 to provide attendees an enhanced experience and greater opportunities for cross-team collaboration.

Two of the American Hospital Association’s professional membership groups, The American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) and The Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE), will hold their conferences side by side August 2-5 in Chicago. Attendees will be able to access solution providers in both exhibit halls without incurring additional expenses. In addition, ASHE and AHE are planning shared networking events and select educational sessions to encourage cross-team collaboration.

By attending the ASHE Annual Conference or AHE Exchange, professionals in health care engineering, environmental services, operations, quality control, infection prevention, and other fields dealing with the physical environment of care have a unique opportunity for collaborative training, professional development and networking.

“These two conferences offer new and exciting opportunities for health care teams to collaborate on issues critical to keeping health care facilities safe and operating efficiently,” said Dale Woodin, FASHE, CHFM, vice president of AHA professional membership groups.

The ASHE Annual Conference provides education, training, and networking for health care facility professionals and others dedicated to optimizing the health care physical environment. AHE Exchange provides education, training, and networking for environmental services professionals and others with a stake in maintaining the physical environment of care.

This alliance stems from an ongoing effort by the American Hospital Association and its professional membership groups to optimize value delivered to the health care community.
