This program takes a blended approach. The course materials are available September 21, the virtual meetings are October 21 & October 22 and the final project is due November 22.
The Certificate of Mastery in Infection Prevent (CMIP) program is a blended program that includes several program elements: online coursework, a virtual instructor-led training event, and a final capstone project
The CMIP program cultivates the knowledge required to coordinate and align efforts across the care team to implement infection prevention strategies to improve outcomes. This comprehensive program translates an Infection Preventionist's knowledge into the real-world day-to-day environment of care operations. It explores the most critical topics in infection prevention, including microbiology and epidemiology; patient and healthcare worker safety; surveillance, risk assessment, and outbreaks; antimicrobial stewardship; evidence-based cleaning practices and environmental monitoring; and infection prevention during construction and emergencies.
