AHE CHEST Master Trainer Bio Nelson Jones, CHESP

Nelson Jones

Director, Environmental Services
Kaiser Foundation Hospital - Downey

Nelson Jones, CHESP, has more than fifteen years of experience in Environmental Services and Custodial Cleaning operations both in the healthcare and higher education industries. After serving our wonderful country in the United States Navy, he began his career as a night shift supervisor of custodial operations for a local University. After having worked in another job for several years, he began the second phase of his career as an Environmental Services Manager at a large hospital in Orange County, California.

Working in small and large hospitals has given Nelson broad and rich professional experience from which he draws regularly! Because he is a teacher at heart and has a passion to see people learn, he endeavored to implement and/or revise training and development programs for both front-line staff and managers at each facility where he has been blessed to work and serve. When he is not working, he enjoys watching all types of sports, as well as playing some, specifically tennis and volleyball. He is facilitating the CHESP online study course because it is one way he can give something back to the community of Environmental Services professionals who have trained and mentored him through the years.
